Adoption UK in partnership with the Media Trust has produced a film aimed at highlighting how schools need to change the way they educate children adopted from the care system.
The five-minute production entitled Trauma in the Classroom: Learning Lessons for Neglected and Abused Children explores the difficulties that adopted children may encounter in an educational setting as a result of the separation, loss and trauma they have experienced in their early lives.
Tommorow evening there is the first national screening of the film aimed at highlighting how schools need to change the way they educate children adopted from the care system.
The film will be screened on The Community Channel (Sky 539, Virgin 233 and Freeview 87) at 7.30am and 7.30pm on Wednesday 3 March.
