Jo Garofalo is a dynamic Creative Director, vocal coach, and educator with over 30 years’ experience in the performing arts. As the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Voice in a Million, Jo has spent the past 16 years staging one of the UK’s largest annual school concerts at Wembley Arena—bringing together 6,000 young voices each year and championing the message that every child matters. Her career began as a professional performer, and she has since built a reputation for her ability to inspire, coach, and nurture children and young people of all ages and abilities.
Alongside her large-scale creative work, Jo is a highly sought-after vocal and acting coach, known for her warm, intuitive teaching style and her passion for helping young people find confidence, purpose, and their true voice. Her extensive experience in stage direction, production, and youth performance gives her a unique ability to bring out the best in every performer—whether they are preparing for auditions, developing their skills, or stepping onto a stage for the very first time.
Jo’s commitment to young people extends beyond the arts. She is a respected advocate for adoption and fostering, a trainer and speaker on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and a strong voice for inclusion and neurodiversity. Her work is defined by creativity, compassion, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every child.
