School children from Hunsbury Park Primary School have voiced their thanks to Northampton Borough Council for helping them get to perform at Wembley Arena’s ‘Voice in a Million’ event last month.
The group of school children who make up the school choir were given the opportunity to perform after councillor Brian Oldham contributed money from his empowerment fund to pay for the coach to take them there.
Teacher Jo Fantarrow said: “We would like to extend a huge thank you for the funds. It was incredible to perform at such a prestigious venue and we all felt honoured to be taking part. It was an amazing evening. To perform in a 5,000 strong choir was a truly awesome experience, one that the children will never forget.”
